Assistive Technology & Communications Specialist

CJay is​ the Assistive Technology & Communications Specialist at Neurodiversity Ireland, dedicated to empowering neurodiverse individuals through tailored AT solutions. As a partially sighted dyslexic AuDHDer, they bring lived experience to their work, alongside a strong academic background in Information Systems and IT from TU Dublin. CJay has extensive experience developing and implementing AT strategies in schools and communities, with a focus on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). A passionate advocate for assistive technology, CJay has mentored on projects like Appventure, spoken at multiple conferences, and earned awards, including the Eir Disability Champion title. They actively work to raise awareness of AAC and accessibility tools to enhance communication and independence. Outside of their professional role, CJay enjoys music, lego, video games, and volunteering to support LGBT+ and neurodiverse communities.

Meghan O'Rourke (She/Her)

Occupational Therapist, Clinical Practice Manager

Meghan is the Clinical Practice Manager and Occupational Therapist at Neurodiversity Ireland, where she has worked for 2 years to develop neurodiversity-affirmative services. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin in Occupational Therapy, Meghan has over 8 years of experience in Children’s Services, including roles with Enable Ireland, ErinoakKids in Canada, and in private practice. Primarily working with younger and school-age children, Meghan co-established neuro-affirmative camps and play-based group sessions for neurodivergent children and co-piloted the Regulate Participate! project to foster neuro-inclusive educational settings. Her additional training areas include strengths-based therapy approaches, Trauma-Informed practice for Autistic individuals, and Sensory Integration. As an ally to the neurodivergent community, Meghan is passionate about advocating for children and is committed to bridging gaps in services for neurodivergent children and families in Ireland.

Occupational Therapist, Clinical Practice Manager

Jack is the Clinical Practice Manager and Occupational Therapist at Neurodiversity Ireland, where he has worked for 3 years alongside Meghan to co-establish services to provide play-based group sessions and camps. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Jack brings 8+ years of experience in mental health and disability services, including as a Therapy Manager at the NHS in a mental health hospital, experience in trauma-focused roles, and in supporting young adults with intellectual disabilities. Jack primarily works in supporting neurodivergent teens and young adults. He also co-piloted the ‘Regulate Participate!’ project, advocating for neuro-inclusive education. As a neurodivergent person, he is passionate about advocating for mental health supports for all.
